The purpose of the Project Distribution list is to provide a project specific list of names, addresses and telephone numbers, etc., for selection from when creating correspondence and issuing copies of documents. People may eventually contain hundreds or thousands of names and if you had to select from this every time you wanted to, say, send a copy of a letter to a group of people, it would be time consuming and mistakes could easily occur by selecting the wrong names.
The Project Distribution list should only contain the names of people who are involved with the project and thus provides a simpler list to select from.
The Project Distribution list can be opened by selecting the project number and then selecting Distribution from the the main Dashboard. It is also accessible from other modules that may require it e.g. Correspondence, Certificates, Email, Documentation etc..
Any number of people can be added to the distribution list and, in most cases, names are added automatically.
The Project Distribution list should contain a list of everyone involved with a project including clients, consultants, contractors and sub-contractors, suppliers, local authority etc.

Each entry should have a preferred File Reference and Job function. These can be selected from drop down lists which show the entries from the global file reference list.
They can also have preferred drawing distribution options to indicate how drawing should be issues to them e.g. Paper format, by post, OR DWG format by e-mail, etc. The drawing and issue formats are set in Global Settings.
