Project Diary is used to record events in the life of a project.

These could be recorded as they occur or can be recorded as a check list of events which can then be checked off as they are completed.

 

Each Event can have up to three activities related to it and these may be used to record target dates, completion dates and who completed the activity.


Events are added to the diary using the New button. This will display the event dialog.

User

The current user's initials will be initially displayed but this can be changed by selecting from the drop down menu. 

 

Stage

Use this to record the stage of the project that the event related to.

 

Event

Enter the name of the event e.g. Site Meeting No 1, Planning Permission, etc.

 

Notes

Enter here any notes you wish to record for the event.

 

Activity

Up to three activities can be associated with each event.

Enter here the activity associated with the event, e.g. for Planning Permission the activities could be Submit Application and Receive Consent.

 

Target Date

Enter here the target date (i.e. the date that you want to achieve the activity by). 

 

Completed

Tick the completed check box to record the date that the activity was completed and the users initials. 

 

By

When an event has been completed and checked off the users initials are entered here to record who completed the event.

 

Date

The date the event was checked as completed is record here.

 

Ref.

This field may be used to record references such as a planning application number.

 

Notes

You may use this field to record any other details relating to the activity.
